Faucher: Alice Rose Faucher, age 74, of Swift Current, SK passed away January 30, 2014 at the Swift Current Care Centre. The Funeral Mass was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Richard Jasiak MSF officiating. The organist was Yolande Gorrill. The readers were Marc Spagrud and Marion Spagrud. The Prayers of the Faithful were read by Helen Kessler. The Eulogy was read by David Faucher. The Pallbearers were Greg Illerbrun, Dave Gloeckler, Steve Janke, Kevin Gates, Marlin Feil and Calvin Andres. The Interment Service took place at Hillcrest Cemetery. Alice is survived by her two sons Darcy (Bonnie) Faucher of Swift Current, SK and Rob (Lisa) Faucher of Swift Current, SK; grandchildren Amy (Cory) Tynning, Tyson (Stephanie) Faucher, and Jordan (Josh Wiebe) Faucher all of Swift Current, SK; sisters Marion (Melvin) Spagrud of Rockglen, SK and Helen (Adam) Kessler of Regina, SK; brother and sisters-in-law Aurore Faucher of Rockglen, SK, George and Rose Faucher of Regina, SK and Yolande and Ernest Bissonette of Assiniboia, SK and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Urban and Margaret Dellinger; husband Louis Faucher, brother-in-law Gregoire Faucher; nephews Alain Faucher, Clinton Kessler and Addison Kessler. Alice was born in Rockglen, SK on July 14, 1939. She attended school in Fife Lake and received a bookkeeping certificate in Assiniboia. She was united in marriage to Louis Faucher on October 7, 1961 in Moose Jaw, SK. During her life time Alice worked for Harvey's Hardware in Assiniboia, Frank Morin Jeweller, CAA in Swift Current and started her own bookkeeping business, Dellinger Bookkeeping Service in the late 70's. She also worked for Southwest Rentals in Swift Current and in 1994, she and Louis purchased Swift Shoe Repair and Leather Shoppe, where she continued to work until July of 2013. Alice was also a member of the Swift Current Wildlife Federation. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed gardening, crafts, crochet, card games and puzzles, camping/canoeing, fishing, beach combing, old western movies and game shows. Alice loved to spend time with her family and friends, sharing stories and visiting. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
