It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth (Ken) Garner Cook with his loving family by his side on February 4, 2014 at the age of 83. Born in Sackville New Brunswick on April 4, 1931 he is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Doris (Kennedy) Cook. Cherished father of Arlene Colville of Sudbury, Karen Kennedy (Paul) of North Bay, Kenneth of Kitchener, Marylynn Coe (Jim) of Mississauga and Lesley Cook of Garson. Loving grandfather of Matthew, Adam, Jillian (Jason), Phillip, Ethan,Pierce,Lauren and Logan. Predeceased by his father Garner and his mother Hazel (Brown). Dear brother of Louise Miller, Glady Steeves, Jeannie Jones (Lloyd) and Fred (Bena) of Sackville N.B., Curtis (Shirley) of Pickering, Lawrence of Hawkstone and Wade (Jeanne) of Thornhill. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a retired general foreman at Inco and a member of Canadian Legion Branch #76. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. At Ken’s request, there will be no visitation or service. A family memorial and internment will be held in the spring.
