WONG, Sai Gee
Sai Gee passed away peacefully at the Wing Kei Centre in Calgary, AB on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Sai Gee moved from Hong Kong in 1955 to marry Show Thin (Sandy) Wong in Moose Jaw. Besides raising a family, she worked as a seamstress at Canaday's. When Sandy opened the Mandarin Inn Restaurant in 1972, she joined him and together they operated the restaurant until they retired in 1993. Sai Gee and Sandy moved to Calgary shortly afterwards to be closer to some of their children and grandchildren. Sai Gee was predeceased by her husband in 2006. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lily Davies (Gary), Barry Wong (Linda), Nancy Copping (Kim), Julie Bachmeier (Kevin) and Terry Wong (Dana). She will also be missed by her grandchildren Nicholas, Gavin and Maggie Wong, Daniel and Annie Copping, Emily Bachmeier, Peyton, Ethan and Emmett Wong. Left also to mourn her passing is her brother Ng Kit Foon of Moose Jaw. A private Family Gathering will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL in Calgary on February 13, 2014.
