Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, Gilbert Emberley of Carbonear, age 74 years. Predeceased by daughter: Lori Ann; parents: Baxter and Amelia. Leaving to mourn, wife: Marion; two daughters: Sophie Emberley (David Sellars) and Cynthia (Wade) Mutrey, both of Carbonear; two grandchildren: Trevor and Amanda; one brother: Charlie (Gladys), Carbonear; nephews: Terry and Stephen Emberley, both of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
