passed away suddenly in Canmore, AB on 18 February 2014 with his loving wife and dearest friend holding his hands. Stephen was a Canada Research Chair in the Public Understanding of Science at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He was born on 9th June 1949 in St. John's, NL. Stephen is predeceased by his father, James Norris and his mother, Elizabeth Bragg. He leaves to mourn his sister, Anne Marie Lastiwka, brother, Paul and two nephews, Jamie, Paul and niece, April; and his loving Phillips family, sister-in-law Irene Hackett (John), and three brothers-in-law, Bill (Maxine), Frank, and Garry (Debbie), and a large circle of colleagues and friends. Stephen dearly loved his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at his home, 631 Main St. Whitbourne, NL on Sunday February 23rd and Monday the 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A private family ceremony will take place. Donations in his memory may be made to the East Coast Trail Association (eastcoasttrail.ca).
