MCKINNEY, ROLAND- It is with sadness the family announces the death of Roland Austin McKinney, age 82, of Barnesville, NB, husband of the late Lois (Price) McKinney, which occurred on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Roland was born on July 19, 1931, the son of the late Francis and Minnie (Williams) McKinney. Roland is survived by three daughters, Darlene Bradley and her husband Robert, Wanda Knorr and her husband Gordon, Marlene Jarvis and her husband Keith, all of Barnesville, NB; two sons, Austin McKinney and his wife Sandra, Eddie McKinney and his wife Leola, both of Barnesville, NB; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Margaret McKinney and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandson Benjamin McKinney; brothers Eldon, Walter, Aubrey and sister Hazel McConchie.
He is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, (506) 832-5541, with visitation on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Leo Martin, will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Reid's Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Barnesville. Donations in memory of Roland, may be made to the St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Barnesville or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
