FOUGÈRE, JEANNE - Jeanne Fougère, 92, of Dock Street, Shediac, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Dr. George-L. Dumont UHC, Moncton. Born on March 23, 1921 in Shediac-Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clementine (Richard) Gallant. A generous, kind giving and warm person, Jeanne enjoyed her crossword puzzles. She will be sadly missed by one son, Maurice Fougère (Stephen Sapienza) of Cromwell, CONN; one sister, Della Chicoine of Montreal, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jeanne had a special place in her heart for Della Gautreau and Marthe Hickey two nieces who were like daughters to her. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Fougère (1996); four sisters: Germaine Gallant, Clarinda Gallant, Alice Fougère and Rita Poirier; five brothers: Hervé, Zenon, David, Yvon and Gérard.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours will be Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:20 am). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Jeanne, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC Foundation (cardiology) would be appreciated.
