ANDERSON, FLORENCE "PEGGY" - The death of Mrs. Florence Margaret “Peggy” (Hutchison) Anderson, wife of the late George B. Anderson of Thomas Hall Nursing Home, Fredericton and formerly of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the age of 93. Born in Kings County, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lettie (Keirstead) Hutchison. Florence was a homemaker who attended the Newcastle United Baptist Church, Newcastle. Florence is survived by: one daughter: Brenda Anderson of Fredericton, NB; one son: Wayne (Patricia) of Kingston, ON; two sisters: Myrtle Foster of Darlings Island, NB and Mable Little of Saint John, NB; two brothers: Frederick of Norton, NB; Donald of Woodsmens Point, NB; seven grandchildren: Sara, Philip, Alanna, Alan, Katherine, Caroline and Erik; 11 great-grandchildren: Keith, Emily, Zaine, Jade, Logan, Arwen, Annalise, Oliver, Aden, Sonja and Haven. Special family: Sylvia and Fraser Sherrard and their children: Sara, John and Laura. Besides her parents and husband: George, Florence is predeceased by: daughter: Beverley Byrne and infant daughter: Willa May; sisters: Georgie, Gertrude, and Olive and brothers: Gordon, Kenneth, William, Murray, Charles, Howard, Harold and Lorne.
The family will receive visitors at the Newcastle United Baptist Church on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM followed by the Funeral Service at 3 PM with Rev. Kathy Jefferies officiating assisted by: Pastor Kevin Matthews. Burial will take place in the Riverbank Cemetery, Norton, NB later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the IWK Hospital.
