Ken passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Ken is survived by his daughter Kara (Shelby Newell); granddaughter Maci; close friend Bobbi Ehman; sisters Betty Terakita; Sally Terakita, Jean Matsushita and Marge (Ken) Nagata; brother Bob Terakita; his Hawaiian brother Phil (Vivian) Cromartie – their daughter Crystal – son Janel (Clarin) and children Mike and David; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mickey and Kimiyo Terakita; brother-in-law Dan Matsushita and nephew Bruce Nagata. Ken was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a voracious reader, often finishing a new book every day. The birth of his granddaughter became his new passion in life. Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Major Glenn S. Patey officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the S.P.C.A., PO Box 1832, Prince Albert, SK S6V 6J9.
