Totten, Eric David – Truro

Totten, Eric David – Age 68, Truro, passed away February 26, 2014 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born January 23, 1946 in Truro, he was a son of the late Ronald and Sarah “Dolly” (Wheaton) Totten. Eric enjoyed playing cards, watching hockey, and in his early years he loved to fish. Before retiring, he worked as a commissionaire in Truro. He was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 47 years. Eric is survived by his son, Shawn (Hayley); daughter, Patti (Darrin), both of Truro; five wonderful grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; brothers, Carl, Owen; sister, Donna (Jim) Johnson.

A tribute service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26, Truro, 42 Brunswick Street, on Friday, March 7 at 2 p.m., with refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colchester East Hants Hospice Society, Truro. Eric’s family would like to thank the Palliative Care team for their home visits and care he received in hospital, and VON and Colchester East Hants Hospice Society for their invaluable care.
