MacLENNAN, DORIS - Doris Marie MacLennan of Lower Sackville passed away peacefully at Ivy Meadows nursing home, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the age of 84. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the wife of the late Alexander "Sandy" Mac Lennan; the daughter of the late John and Hazel (Lane) Crossman. Doris is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Cheryl Bennett, Fort St. John, BC; and two sons: Ronald, Lower Sackville; and Douglas, Eastern Passage NS; four grandchildren: Shawn, Ruth-Anne, Cory and Chanelle. She is survived by four sisters: Hazel Twigger, Joan Garland, Betty Melvin, Brenda Magee, and a brother: Roderick Crossman. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Jennifer Lynn MacLennan, two sisters Marina Smith, Eleanor Ward and two brothers, Clarence and Ronald Crossman.
Visitation will be held ­­­on Thursday, March 6th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th at 2pm at the First Sackville Presbyterian Church, 60 BeaverBank Road, Rev. Jean MacAuley officiating. Burial to follow at Oakridge Memorial Gardens.
