The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital on Thursday, November 13, 2008, of James (Jim) Campbell Smith of Summerside, P.E.I., age 53 years. Jim was born in Summerside on March 23, 1955, to his late parents, George and Lila (nee Cotton) Smith. Loving husband of Kim (nee Walker) Smith and loving father of Mitchell of Summerside. Survived by his sister, Judy (Norman) Cole of Indian River and his brothers, George Jr. “Sonny” (Edith), Blair, Wilfred (Lorraine) and Gordon (Anne Wright), all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his father and mother-in-law, Rodger and Gail Walker of Alberta, along with several nieces and nephews. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, November 17, 2008, then to St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 11 a.m. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the P.E.I.
