Clifton MAWER
Born: September 25th, 1959
Passed on: March 3rd, 2014
Passed away tragically on March 3,2014 at the age of 54.
Gone but not forgotten.
His carefree spirit will shine on forever through his wife Leslie, daughter Ashley, son-in-law Eric and special grandson Maddix. He will live on in the hearts of the many friends and family who had the good fortune of knowing him. He touched everyone with his crazy humor, optimism, and infectious smile. Cliff always said he would live life to the fullest and never have any regrets, and that the two best days were when his daughter was born and then when his grandson was born.
Born in Ocean Falls to Charles and Lorraine. Cliff grew up in Woodfiber in his early years and than moved to Squamish where he met his soul mate Leslie whom he was married to for 32 years. From the moment he met his extended family he had an amazing impact on all of them. He was an outstanding son-in-law, brother-in-law, and the BEST uncle. Cliff worked at Western Pulp in the early 80s and left when he was presented an opportunity to move ahead in his career. He became a longshore foreman where he worked over the past decade, gaining respect and friendship from all he met. Cliff always loved the ocean, Sea to Sky corridor, and spending time with his family.
We know he is now in the arms of those that went before him father Chuck, mother Lorraine and brother Bradley. Siblings left behind Candis (Mike), Patti (Hayden), Michael (Leslie) and many extended family members whom he loved dearly.
May he rest in peace knowing that his girls will be taken care of by his grandson and son-in-law whom was also his best friend.
"It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
That day god called you home"
A Celebration of Cliff's life will be held on March 29 at 11:00 a.m.
