It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rhoda Jane Conrad (nee Lloyd) of Lydgate, at the age of 81. She passed away peacefully at Surf Lodge Nursing Home on Monday, March 3, 2014. Born in Port L’Hebert, she was a daughter of Joseph & Leona (Holland) Lloyd. She was a loving mother and grandmother, always putting others before herself. She loved pets, especially her cats and dogs and loved to knit and do crafts. She loved going for drives with family and friends. Prior to her retirement, Rhoda worked for Surf Lodge Nursing Home and was a former employee of National Sea Products. She is survived by her son, Elmer (Bonnie) Conrad, Lydgate; daughters, Myrna (Tom) Burbine, Yarmouth, Irene (Allen) Foster, Lydgate, Polly (Ken) DeRoo, Manitoba; brother Terrance Lloyd; sisters, Sarah Conrad and Audrey McKay; grandchildren, Warren (Eileen), Justin, Travis and also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Crawford and a grandson in infancy. She will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained another angel. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M.
