Alice passed away peacefully on March 11, 2014 at her residence in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home, Port Hawkesbury.
Born in Sydney she was the daughter of the late Walter Robert and Helene Marie (LeBlanc) Kiley.
Alice was a lifetime member of St Louis C.W.L. for over 60 years.
She is survived, by her sons, Roger McCalmont, Louisdale, Walter McCalmont, Toronto, Ont; sister, Annie Samson, Sydney; numerous nieces and nephews from coast to coast.
She was predeceased by her first husband, James Alexander 'Al' McCalmont (1913 – 1959) and her second husband, Leonard Joseph Marchand (1919 - 2003); sister, Mary Alice Kiley; brother, William Austin Kiley.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening at the Glenn Sampson Room in Louisdale, from 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held at St. Louis Church in Louisdale on Saturday morning at 11 a.m., with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Louis Parish Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat.
