Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Thursday March 13, 2014, with his loving children by his side, of Harold Kenneth (June) Culleton of Mount Pleasant, age 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Nancy Ellen (nee Smith) Culleton, who predeceased him on July 24, 1993. Born on March 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Alfred and Nettie (nee Coughlin) Culleton. Loving father to Benny (Brenda) of Mount Pleasant; Karen (Laurie) Nason of Summerside; Sharon (Jeff) Burleigh of East Bideford; Shelia (Irvin) of Mount Pleasant; Donna (Blair) Albert of Miscouche; Allison (Leo) Campbell of Ellerslie; and Laurie (Richard) Gallant of Mount Pleasant. Cherished grandfather to: Kandice Robinson, Chastity Marchbanks, Jodi Wilson, Ashely Wilson, Brittany Burleigh, Bradley Campbell, Kayle Campbell and Garrett Culleton. Great-grandfather to: Daniel Robinson, Braydon Robinson, Sylvie Robinson, Tyson Wilson, Jazmyn Wilson, Marissa Marchbanks, Mariah Marchbanks, Miranda Marchbanks, Hannah Gallant and Zacharie Gallant. He is also survived by a brother Ronald (Bud) Culleton of Mount Pleasant, as well as sisters and brothers-in-law: Marge Culleton of Summerside; Aldona Culleton of Summerside; Terry (Connie) Smith of Inverness; David and Carol Ann Smith of Alberton; Brenda (Tony) Buckner of Port Hope, Ont.; and Janice (Val) Piwtorski on New Jersey. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Nancy, siblings Albert (Buck), Ivan, Fred, Ray, Jean DesRoches, Manerva MacKinnon, Wanda Eatherington, daughter-in-law Sylvia (nee Lynch) Culleton, Wanda Connelly and by his father and mother-in-law, James and Vera (Ramsay) Smith. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Sunday afternoon from St. Peter's Anglican Church, Alberton, at 2 p.m., Rev. Andrew Mortimer officiating. Interment later at St. Peter's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Prince County Hospital Oncology Unit, Home Care and Palliative Care, or St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery would be gratefully appreciated.
