On Sunday, March 9, 2014, Bruce Jacob
Barker of Grande Prairie, formerly of Fort St.
John, BC, passed away suddenly at the age
of 54 years.
Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his
wife Janet and their children: Garnett
(Meagan), Kallie and Lucas; by his two
grandchildren: Ryder and Austin; his
siblings: Nelson (Brenda), Gladys (Larry)
Gillette, Sandi (Bill) Carpenter, Ron (Gail),
Duaine; and by his friend and loyal dog Rex;
as well as his numerous nieces, nephews
and extended family.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents Bill
and Agnes, and his brother Morley Barker.
Bruce’s jest for life will live on as his many
stories are shared, enjoyed and
remembered.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday,
March 15, 2014 at 1:00pm at the Grande
Prairie Alliance Church (15502 102 St.). A
celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at the
Crown and Anchor Pub at 3:30 PM.
