Robert "Bob" Prosser

PROSSER, ROBERT "BOB" - Robert “Bob” Douglas Prosser, 77, of Petitcodiac, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on March 17, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Petitcodiac, he was a son of the late Ronald and Irene (nee Lutes) Prosser. Bob is survived by his loving daughter Patti Chambers of Petitcodiac; grandchildren: Cory Chambers, Natalie McCullum, Nicholas McCullum and Haley Prosser; sisters: Marion (Herb) Hicks, Mable (Art) Smith, Sandra (Austin) Young and Dian Goddard; brothers: Edward (Marilyn) Prosser and Gerry (Debbie) Prosser; brother-in-law, G. Wayne (Elizabeth) Smith; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Doreen Prosser in July of 2013; cherished daughter Cheryl McCullum in August 2013 and brother-in-law C. John Smith. Bob started his long career in trucking with Gordon McGibbon in Anagance at a young age. He then became employed with (Drury’s Transport) Armour Transport in Moncton, from where he retired. Bob was a faithful member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church. He was a member of the Petitcodiac Senior Citizens and the Petty Trail Blazers. Bob enjoyed four wheeling and snowmobiling with his friends. He enjoyed taking trips, drives in the country as well as eating out with family. He was a big Nascar fan, having attended several races, but he especially enjoyed his daily coffee breaks with “The Boys”.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, from where visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, at 1:30 pm with Rev. David Woodworth presiding at the Petitcodiac Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Petitcodiac Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
