Passed away at the Health Science Centre surrounded by her family, after a brief illness on March 18, 2014, age 77. Predeceased by her husband Bernard Boland, parents Stanley and Emma Hayward, sister Gloria Lindekamp, brother Robert Hayward and sister-in-law and lifelong friend June Hayward. Leaving to mourn her daughters: Sharon Bonia, Wanda Leclair (Pierre), Belinda Grouchy (Glenn) and Kim Boland. Her grandchildren: Charlotte, John, Athena, Garret, James, Emma, and her great granddaughters Violet and Sage. Two brothers Gerald Hayward (Jeannie) and John Hayward (Ruthanne). Also leaving behind a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd, on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 10 - 12, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel at 11am on Friday March 21, 2014. Interment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery at Portugal Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's name may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
