BARTON, GEORGE W. - The family announces the death of George W. Barton of New Maryland who died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014. George was the youngest of four children of Edward and Marjorie (McCutcheon) Barton. George loved spending time at the camp on Lake George where you were always welcome for a visit. He loved travelling to the Caribbean, Islands, USA, and South America. He enjoyed cooking and was known for his great sense of humor and always had a great and positive outlook on life. George leaves behind his brothers, nephews and nieces. George was predeceased by his parents; one sister.
There will be no visitation by George’s request. A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date with Rev. Kelly Burke officiating. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the charity of the donor’s choice.
