KAY-WESTON, MARY ELEANOR - 1928-2014 - Mary Eleanor Kay-Weston , 86, of The Jordan Home formerly of Petitcodiac and Alma passed away on March 20th, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital. Mary was born in Campbellton, NB on March 14th, 1928 the daughter of the late John and Marie (Ferguson) Clarke. She was of Anglican faith. Mary was a housewife and also had a few jobs, cleaning offices and homes for people in her community. Music was a big part of her life, she loved listening to music and also enjoyed all the times spent playing her guitar and singing around the kitchen table with her friends. She enjoyed playing crib and cards, some would say she was very competitive and looked forward to her wins. She never went anywhere without having her dice and small bag of change, you never knew when a game could break out. She enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Mary will be remembered for her great sense of humor, she was definitely one of a kind. She is now having a great chat with her beloved partner Victor and no doubt challenging him to a game of crib. She will be deeply missed by her son, James Kay (Sandra) of Brampton, ON; daughter, Diane Gaskin of Moncton; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; sister, Dorothy LeBlanc (Yvonne) of Moncton; brothers, James Clarke of Stittsville, ON and Arden Clarke (Joan) of Lutes Mountain. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her best friend and partner, Victor Weston; brother, Fred Clarke and sister, Helen Culligan.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, March 23rd, 2014 from 1:00pm until the time of funeral service at 3:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:00pm. Interment will be in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, NB at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society , NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated.
