We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks for all the acts of kindness during “Tom” passing. As you know “Tom” was a devoted husband and a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Losing him has been a very painful experience, but your loving support has been a great help to us. To all of our families and friends who visited us at the hospital and our homes we are deeply grateful. Thank you to those who attended the wake, funeral, sent condolences, sympathy cards, monetary donations, floral tributes, Mass cards and brought so much food to our homes. Thank you to the Emergency Dept. and staff of the Northside General Hospital. Also a special thanks to Dr. Phil Smith and nurses of the I.C.U. dept. of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, you went above and beyond for “Tom”. To Aunt Beverly Bungay and Elizabeth Wayson, thank you so much for staying with Nanny Lorraine during this difficult time. Special thanks to “Tom’s” second family his C.B.R.M. co-workers; you were all near and dear to him. To Avis, Art Gallop and our niece Jane, thank you for being there with us during such a difficult time. To my brother Rob Simm and his wife Bernadette, I would not have been able to get through this without you. Also to my dear friend and sister-in-law Deb. McNeil, thank you. Special thanks to Tracy and Karrie. To our babysitters Peggy MacLeod, Brenda Power, Kayla Briand and Hannah McNeil, thank you. We are so grateful to Manning Jobes and staff of Jobes Funeral Home, your compassion and support will always be appreciated. Rev Jake Andrea, I cannot express enough the comfort in your kind words. Thank you to the pallbearers, readers, gift bearers and choir. To the St. Ann’s hospitality group, we greatly appreciated the beautiful luncheon at the hall.
