OUELLETTE, ALICE - Alice Ouellette, 97, wife of the late Johnny Ouellette of Petit-Cap, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at her residence of natural causes. Born June 24, 1916 at Dupuis Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late François and Delphine (Melanson) Landry. Alice was the oldest parishioner of St-Timothée Roman Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother and a loving grand-mother. Her home and garden was her haven. She is survived by her eight children: Alderic (Angela), Ovila (Cécilia), Edgar, Louise LeBlanc (Paul-Émile), Léo-Paul (Patsy), Denise Leger (Alban), Jean-Guy (Annette), and Delcia Landry (Tony); her brother, François (Florence); four sisters : Dorine LeBlanc (Alonzo), Diana Cormier (Léo), Geneva LeBlanc (André), Delphina Bourgeois (Antoine); 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Besides her husband, Alice is also predeceased by her four sisters: Bertha Leger, Marguerite Duguay, Antoinine Melanson and Dora Doiron; five brothers: Benoit, Alderic, Adelard, Edgar, and Gonzague; and a grandson, Denis Ouellette.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours Tuesday April 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and Wednesday, from 9 am until departure (10:05) for St-Timothée R.C. Church, 3119 Route 940 in Shemogue from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
