The death occurred peacefully, with family at her side, at the Palliative Care Unit, Charlottetown, on Saturday, March 29, 2014, of Anne Gallant Steele, M.D., of Lexington, Kentucky, and formerly of Rustico, age 57.
Anne was the beloved wife of Kevin Nelson; cherished daughter of George and Fannie Gallant; loving mother of Sarah Burlingame Williams (Jeremiah), Jessica Fae Nelson (Bruno Reis) and Matthew Alexander Gallant Steele; and proud grandmother of Abigail Eleva Williams and Naomi Fae Williams. Anne is also survived by her brothers and sister, Lennie, Danny, Mark (Tracy), Keith (Tammy) and Karen (Allan Vail); her parents-in-law, Raymond F. and Barbara Nelson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will take place at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 10:30 a.m.to 12:45 p.m., to be followed by funeral mass at 1 p.m. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
