Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, Annie Ash of Portland, aged 80 years. Predeceased by her husband William; sister Violet Nicholson; brothers Thomas Pye, Jack Pye and Boyd Pye; parents Harold and Beatrice Pye; parents-in-law Gilbert and Sarah Ash; sisters-in-law Maude Pye and Clarice Pye; brothers-in-law Hedley Ash, Eden Dyer; Alex Andrews, Gerald Nicholson and Lloyd St. Croix; great grandson Maddox Holloway; long time family friend Doris Fitzgerald. Left with fond and loving memories her children Barbara (Clarence Holloway), Ruby (Terry Chatman) and Lloyd; grandchildren Troy, David, Danny, Adam, Mark, Duane and Jessica; great grandchildren Spencer, William, Claire, Jacob, Leah, Rebecca and Michael; sister Pearl (Bruce Simmons); brothers Ron Pye (Brenda) and Lewis Pye; sisters-in-law Millicent Andrews, Emma Dyer, Gladys Oates (Ron), Ruby Schwab (Albert), Margaret St. Croix and Verda Greening (Fred); brother-in-law John Ash; and a large circle of family and friends. A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at United Church, Portland with interment at United Cemetery, Portland.
