LEBLANC, AURÈLE - Aurèle LeBlanc, 91, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Grand-Barachois, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 3, 2014. Born November 28, 1922 in Robichaud Office, he was the son of the late Sifroid and Herminie (Desprès) LeBlanc. Before his retirement, he was employed with Edmond Gagnon Fisheries and was a carpenter. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dora of Shediac; three children: Roger (Rachel) of Shediac, Alias (Jeaninne) of Grand-Barachois and Aurella Donelle (Valmont) of Bas-Cap-Pelé; two sisters: Dora Thibodeau (late Ola) and Angèla LeBlanc (late Philibert) both of Shediac; one brother, Léo Paul of Moncton; six grandchildren: Jocelyne, Claire, Christine, Michèle, Joline and Rémi; two great-grandchildren: Eva and Sophia; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Alfreda (Boudreau) LeBlanc (1962); a son, Alyre (1974); three sisters: Lydia, Rita and Delphine; two brothers: Alias and Alban.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday April 6, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 10 am until time of departure (10:45 a.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11a.m. Interment will be in the St-Henri parish cemetery. In memory of Aurèle, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Foundation (oncology or cardiology unit) would be appreciated.
