COLLINS, PERLEY A. (1924 - 2014) - Perley Archibald Collins, Husband of Ruth E. (Clark) Collins, passed away on Saturday, April 5th, 2014 at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing, South Bay. Born in St. Martin’s, N.B. on November 14, 1924, he was a son of Pearl and Jane (MacVicar) Collins. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War and remained in the military as a Para rescue paratrooper until 1960. Perley is survived by his devoted wife Ruth (Clark) Collins, and Brother Stan (Rene)Collins, he was a very special uncle to his 12 nieces and nephews. Much loved for his quick wit and generous nature; he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Pearl and Jane as well as sisters, Gloria Russell, Glady’s Grozik and brothers Ronald and Donald.
At Perley’s request, there will be no visitation . A private family graveside service will take place at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery on Tuesday April 8th, 2014 at 3pm. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
