BAUER, STEPHEN CHASE - Stephen Chase Bauer of Saint John passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, April 4th, 2014; due to a massive heart attack. Stephen was born in Saint John, February of 1952 to the late Richard and Mary (Stackhouse) Bauer. He worked for Canada Post in his earlier days and TD Canada Trust for many years, most recently he was employed with Xerox. Steve is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Valerie (Vail) Bauer of Saint John; daughters Vavielle Schlacter (Peter) of Burlington, ON and Leisa Mourad (Mo) of Saint John; brother Peter Bauer (Gita); sister Jane Abrams (Greg) both of Saint John; four precious grandchildren who meant the world to him; Marcia, Matthew, Noah and Jonah; mother-in-law Edna Vail; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews and many friends.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Monday April 7th from 7 to 9 p.m. Celebration of Stephen’s Life will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday April 8th at 1:00 p.m. Private interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
