Harold Matthew Arenburg–77, of Cambridge, Kings County, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. He was born in North River on December 3, 1936 he was a son of the late Matthew and Elizabeth Arenburg.He had been employed with A.C.A., Larsen's and worked in farming. He enjoyed gardening, cutting wood, visiting with friends and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Harold would do anything for anyone. He is survived by his common-law wife, Rita Grace Comeau; step-daughter, Yvonne Comeau, Cambridge; granddaughter, Judy Comeau (Donald Caldwell); grandson, Justin Bezanson(Melissa Johnson); great-grandson, Jason; sisters, Priscilla Dixon, Waterville; Violet Cleveland, Cambridge; Leora Spinney, White Rock; brothers, Robert “Shirley” (Hazel) Arenburg, Amherst; Howard Arenburg, Cambridge; Leslie Arenurg, New Minas; Lester (Linda) Cleveland, Waterville; Earl (Helen) Arenburg, Cockerill Mills; brothers-in-law, Kenny Brewster, Berwick and Murray Tanner, Wolfville; sister-in-law, Ruth Arenburg, Amherst; many nieces and nephews; friend, Terry Bennett. He was predeceased by sisters, Helen Tanner and Pearl Brewster and brothers, Emmerson Arenburg, Clarence Arenburgand Charlie (Mildred)Arenburg. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation or funeral service by request. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Waterville Volunteer Department from 1-5 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
