Passed peacefully away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at The Agnes Pratt Home in the presence of her family, Mary Theresa Ryan (nee Healey) age 85 years. Theresa was a long time resident of Blackhead, Cape Spear and employee of the Bowring Brothers Captain's Cabin. Predeceased by her husband Herbert Ryan; brothers William, Augustus and Roger; sisters Elizabeth Ward, Ida Porter and one year old Mary. Lovingly remembered by daughters: Toni (Keith Hibbs) and Bonnie (Charlie Kean); grandsons: Wes Ryan (Stephanie), Ian and Colin Kean, and great grandson, Hunter Ryan; sister-in-law Eileen Healey; special niece Joan Moore (Ted), and a large number of nieces and nephews. Thank you to Father Leo English for anointing Mom. We would also like to extend our thanks to the wonderful staff of Agnes Pratt, especially the staff of Fairhaven, who took care of Mom with great kindness and respect, you are truly proof that angels walk among us on this earth. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road, Monday, April 7 from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to take place at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Petty Harbour on Wednesday, April 9 at 10 a.m. Inurnment to take place later this spring in Blackhead Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted.
