CLARK, HORACE - Horace Wilbur Clark peacefully, in his 93rd year, in Hamilton, Ontario, Saturday April 5th, with family at his side until the end. Dear father of Betty (Nusca) and Garry, father-in-law to Tony, Esther and Debbie, beloved grandfather of Deb Walker (Chris), Rob Nusca (Carol), Chris Nusca (Rosanne), Justin Agnew-Clark (Kellie), Jamie Clark (Kim), Marc Nusca, Gillom McNeil and Robyn McNeil, and great-grandfather of Madison, Kristen, Katie, Natalie, Rachel, Jamie, Gabriel and Hannah. An infant great-grandson, Christian, passed in 2007. Horace was born and raised in the Keswick area. He married the love of his life, Jean Jewett, in 1939. He moved his family to Hamilton Ontario in 1949. He was a Mason. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union since 1950. A proud New Brunswicker, he founded the Maritimer Club in Burlington, Ontario during the 60’s and 70’s, which once boasted over 200 members. Returning to retire in New Brunswick, eventually settling on Keswick Ridge, in the early 80’s where he was very active in the community. He and Jean were long time members of the Mactaquac United Baptist Church. Horace and Jean enjoyed an active retirement until her passing in 2006 when he returned to Ontario to reside with family.
Services will be held Saturday April 12th, at Dermody Funeral home, 796 Upper Gage Avenue, Hamilton, Ontario, L8V 4K4. A small memorial will be held in Keswick in the early summer, when his remains will be returned home.
