(December 19, 1926 - April 9, 2014) Passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Portugal Cove, surrounded by her family and friends, Janet Harvey Story at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband, Colin Story, sister; Margaret Neal, brothers; Jim (Peg), Ron and Eric (Margaret) Harvey. Leaving to celebrate her life with loving memories are her children; Howard (Nong), Charlotte (Jim Brophy), George (Betty Lou), Ruth (Kevin Stacey), Colin, Ian (Brenda) and Dorothy (Bruce King), special pet and companion, Billie, Grandchildren; Aaron, Grace, Shawn, Kate, Holly, Tyler and Adam, sisters; Gladys Baird, Nellie Edwards, Shirley (Jim) McLaughlin, brother-in-law William Neal, sister-in-law Lorna Harvey, Ann Mulholland (England), Aunt, Bunty House, special niece/nephews Kate, Lachlan and Simon Story as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins, too numerous to list. A heartfelt thanks to Janet's wonderful caregivers; Linda Delaney, Deanne Bartlett, Paula Squires, Linda Petten, Barb Follett and Krista Grenning. A special thank you to Dr. Aaron McKim for all his guidance and support. Respecting Janet's wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation to take place at Carnell's on Sunday, April 13th from 1 to 4 pm. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in Janet's memory to the SPCA.
