(November 12, 1920 - April 11, 2014) Passed peacefully away following a brief illness, at Carbonear General Hospital, Lucy Hayward of St. Vincent's, S.M.B., aged 93 years. Predeceased by husband Joseph and daughter Rose Marie. Leaving to mourn sons: Desmond (Ann), Donald (Daphne), Ray and Gary (Dana), her precious grandchildren: Curtis, Renee, Vanessa, D.J., Alexa, Rebekka and Tiffany, precious great-grandchildren Lucy and Brayden, niece Joan Babb, St. John's, nephew Bill Schultz, New Orleans and a large number of relatives and friends, especially Mary Fleming and Rose Mary White. A special thank you is also extended to Elaine and Paul Neville and former caregivers of Neville's Personal Care Home, for your care and support. Resting at Fr. Battcock Memorial Chapel, St. Vincent's, on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, from 2 - 4pm; 7 - 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, April 14, at 10:30am, at Sacred Heart Church, St. Vincent's. Burial to follow.
