It is with great sadness we announce the passing of respected Mi’kmaq elder, Noel Knockwood with his loving family and friends at his side on Thursday evening, April 10, 2014 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Visitation Saturday, April 12 beginning at 2 p.m. at the residence of his son, Gabriel on 130 Fern Dr., Millbrook until Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 9 a.m. at which time Mr. Knockwood will be transferred to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, where a Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26 tribute will take place at 10:45 a.m. followed by Noel’s spiritual journey. Live web-casting of the services from the funeral home will begin at 10:40 a.m. (Atlantic time) at www.ColchesterCommunity.com.
