Deborah Rideout

RIDEOUT, DEBORAH JANE - (1954 - 2014) - Mrs. Debbie J. Rideout of North Head Grand Manan Island passed on to be with her Lord and Savior at the Grand Manan Hospital on Saturday, April 12, 2014 with her husband by her side. She was born the daughter of Sherwood and Hazel (Wilcox) Tidd at Black’s Harbour. Debbie married her husband Jasper and they started their married life at a young age. She made a commitment early to her family placing all of her focus on raising their children, supporting her husband in his work, and most of all providing their home with love. She was devoted to her Savior Jesus and worked alongside of Jasper as they worked in different churches in throughout their ministry serving the Lord. She took on roles in the Church teaching Sunday School, helping with music, receptions with the women’s groups, and any task that needed support in the Church. She had a special gift with her voice and could touch people’s lives through music. Her smile will never be forgotten and she will always be loved and remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of forty-two years Rev. L. Jasper Rideout, her three sons Jeromy (Heather) Rideout of Woodstock, Ben (Natasha) Rideout of Williamsburg, NB, and Paul (Tanya) Rideout of Rockland, NB, three sisters Linda (Carl) Rushton of Sask, Eloise (Terry) Durling of Woodstock, NB, and Nancy (Ken) Morris of Saint John, NB, also her first grandchild Samantha Rideout that brought joy to her life that she loved and help raise as her own daughter, thirteen grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends she has made along the way following God’s path. She was predeceased by her father Sherwood.
Visiting for friends on Grand Manan will be held at the North Head Wesleyan Church on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Black’s Harbour Wesleyan Church on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Harry Wilson officiating. There will be a reception immediately following the service for a time of fellowship to visit with Debbie’s family. Interment will follow later at the Royalton Community Cemetery, Centerville, NB. The family has requested that donations may be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, or the Gideon Bibles.
