WELLS, Clifford Earl “Cliff” - Age 79, of Windsor, Hants Co., passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born on January 29, 1934 in Windsor, he was a son of the late James and Grace (Caldwell) Wells. Cliff was an avid hockey enthusiast and a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He also enjoyed playing darts on many occasions and enjoyed planting and growing his vegetable garden. Cliff was a past employee of Fundy Gypsum Co., Windsor and J.W. Lindsay’s Construction Co., Halifax. He was also a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Hants County Branch No. 009, Windsor. Cliff is survived by his sons, Gerald “Gerry” (Karen), Ellershouse; Michael, Windsor; daughter, Mary (John) Woodworth, Windsor; beloved grandson, Troy Wells; precious great-grandchildren, Nakia, Hayden and Wyatt Wells; brother, Burton “Bubby” (Irene), Alberta. He was predeceased by his wife the former, Daisy “Jean” MacLeod (2008); brothers, James (1994) and Francis (1988). Arrangements were entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m., in Oakhill Cemetery, Ellershouse, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating.
