Huskilson, Lloyd “Graham”, Shelburne. We are sad to announce the death of Graham, age 80, on Sunday, April 13, 2014, passing away peacefully at home in the presence of his loving family. Born in Lockeport on August 20, 1933 he was the eldest son of the late Malcom and Georgina (MacKay) Huskilson. Graham graduated from Lockeport High School and then attended Maritime Business College. Graham was a licensed mechanic and prominent business man in Shelburne for over 50 years. After working with his father in the early 50’s he moved to Shelburne and operated the Irving station and a Volkswagon dealership. Between 1959 and in the early 2000’s he ran Graham Huskilson’s Garage Limited, Shelburne Toyota Limited, Shelburne Vocational Transit, B & G Motors Limited and Huskilson’s Chrysler. He was a founding shareholder of Seabreeze Cablevision bringing cable TV to Shelburne County. Busy as he was he still found time to contribute to his community. Graham was President or Chair of Southwestern Regional Development Authority, Shelburne, Shelburne and Area Chamber of Commerce, Shelburne and Area Industrial Commission and South Shore Boards of Trade. He also was a Director of the Nova Scotia Tourist Advisory Council, the Advisory Board of the Nova Scotia School for Boys, Union of Nova Scotia Municipalities and served as Deputy Mayor of Shelburne for seven years. Graham helped to establish the Shelburne Golf Club, the Shelburne County Arena, the Mckay Memorial Library and the Shelburne Yacht Club. He became a Master Mason at an early age, was Past Master of Taylor Lodge and Past District Deputy Grand Master for Yarmouth and Shelburne Area. He was a member of the Lockeport and Shelburne Fire Departments. Graham is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara (MacKay); sons, Christopher (Kim); John (Carol) and Peter (Teresa); daughter Deidre (Jerry) Bell; grandsons, Jason, Corey (Hilary), Michael and Gregory; granddaughters, Tracy, Jasmine, Eden, Mia and Nina; brother Mac (Vicki); sister-in-law Joanne (Ron), brothers-in-law, Hugh (Ola) MacKay and James (Nancy) MacKay, and several nieces and nephews. Graham was predeceased by his parents, brother, Charles, sister Sarah and brother-in-law Peter Cotter. A celebration of Graham’s life was held on Thursday, April 17 at Christ Church, Shelburne with Rev. Ed Trevors officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Shelburne County Palliative Care, Victorian Order of Nurses or charity of choice. A reception was held in Christ Church Hall. Special thanks to Dr. E.
