GORMLEY, LEO - With sadness the family announces the passing of Leo Francis Gormley, loving husband of Mary (Stewart) Gormley, which occurred on Monday, April 14th 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 03, 1928 in Saint John he was the son of the late William and Marie (Mennier) Gormley. Leo and his wife Mary have been married for 41 years, he worked for many years as a Pressman at McMillan Press. He enjoyed travelling with friends and spending well-deserved time at his home at Seeley’s Cove, a place that meant a lot to him. Leo is survived by his step-sons; Reid Ryder (Marsha) of Edmonton, Alberta, Reginald Van Buskirk of Saint John, NB and step-daughter Paula Brown (Arnold) of Quispamsis. He is also survived by his three brothers; John (Elizabeth) of Saint John, Kenneth (Edna) of the Kingston Peninsula, NB and Donald (Gale) of Saint John. Sister; Avia Duggan of Boston, Massachusetts. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Leo is predeceased by his brother; William Gormley, sister; Margaret Titus and Son; Gary Francis Gormley.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Keeping with Leo’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
