HUNTER: Beatrice Floence Dorothy age 97 years of Valleyview, AB passed away on April 8, 2014 at the Valleyview Long Term Care Center. The Memorial Service was held on April 15, 2014 from the Pambrun Community Hall at 1:00 pm with Shirley Wilson officiating. The interment service was held in the Pambrun Cemetery. The pianist was Joan Williamson with Jena Lyons and Kennedy Young singing. The eulogy was read by Greg Young and the pallbearers were Greg Young, Tyler Friesen, Colin Friesen, Scott Young, Don Lyons, and Hunter Young. Beatrice is survived by her children: Bev (Al) Young, John Hunter, Marie (Wayne) Friesen; grandchildren: Tyler and Colin Friesen, Greg and Scott Young, and Carla Lyons; 12 great grandchildren; and sister Grace Lucas. She is predeceased by her husband Vern Hunter in 1988; parents Albert and Beatrice Lucas; and sister Elsie Bowditch. Beatrice attended school in Pambrum. She was a member of the United Church and the U.C.W. She is known for her quilting, gardening, curling and her love of playing cards. Beatrice lived through the dirty thirties and learned how to make the best of everything, and had a great love for her family. donations may be made to the Pambrun Community Hall in Beatrice's memory.
