SCOTT, GERALD PETER - Gerald P. Scott of McAdam, NB passed away April 17, 2014 at Wauklehegan Manor. Gerald was born at McAdam, NB in 1932, a son of the late John and Christine (Sutherland) Scott. He was a life member of the Nashwaaksis Lions Club. Gerald was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his children, Carolyn McNeill (Terry), Susan Gideon (Ken), Kevin Scott (Cindy), all of Fredericton, NB, Terry Scott (Linda) and Carla Kilbride (John), both of McAdam, NB; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Amy), Marcus, Tanya (Adam), Terry (Lacey), Angela, Jennifer (Andy), Michael (Jessica), Bradley (Heather) and Colby (Jill); several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Scott, McAdam, NB and Jackie Scott (Joan), Fredericton, NB; his loving partner, Leora McClure; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by three sisters, Kaye Smith, Doris Adams and an infant sister and three brothers, Harold, Kenneth and Ralph Scott.
Visiting hours will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 155 Saunders Road, McAdam, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the church on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sue Breisch officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will be later at Rockland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Mike, Brad, Jennifer, Terry Jr. and sons-in-law Kenny and Terry. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Gerald, the family has suggested the Alzheimer Society or the Rockland Cemetery.
