It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julie Margaret Hurley announce her passing on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 83 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Tony (Judy), Corner Brook; grandson André (Jaime), St. John’s; great-grandchildren: Patrick and Charles, St. John’s and Beth, Corner Brook; sister Geraldine Brinston, Lewisporte; brother Alphonsus (Elsie) André, Grand Falls – Windsor; brothers-in-law: Fergus Hurley and Gregory (Doreen) Hurley, Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Francis and Annie André, Herring Neck, husband Patrick Hurley, Corner Brook, sisters Madeline Hale and Eileen Hussey, Herring Neck and parents-in-law Samuel and Dina Hurley, Corner Brook. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 10:30 AM from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
