Passed away at the Health Science Center on April 20, 2014 in the presence of his family Walter John Young age 83 years. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Carrie Young; brothers: Herbert and Bert; sister Louise Loughlin. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 57 years Maisie; sons: Gary (Charmaine), Keith (Jennifer), and Todd (Janice); grandchildren: Sydney, Leah, Colin, Chantelle, and Jonathan. Walter was a long-time member of the Wesley Male Choir, and retired teacher of Twillingate and College of Fisheries in St. John's NL. Walter will be resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday April 21, 2014 from 7pm-9pm and on Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will be held from Wesley United Church on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2pm. Interment will take place at Durrell Cemetery, Twillingate NL. In Lieu of flowers, donation can be made to VOWR, Dr. H Bliss Murphy Cancer Center, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of one's choice.
