MOFFITT, EARL WESLEY - Earl W. Moffitt, age 88, of Harvey Station, NB passed away April 22, 2014 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Earl was born at Harvey, NB and lived and worked there all of his life, mostly in the woods and sawmills. He was a son of the late John and Ella (Manzer) Moffitt. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Moffitt, Harvey, NB; a son, Darren Moffitt (Shannon), Harvey, NB; a grandson, Zion; two sisters, Harriet Garrett and Edith Lowery (Rev. Basil); two sisters-in-law, Mabel Piercy and Margaret Mofitt; special nieces, Dawn (Shamus) and Reilly and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, M. Helen Moffitt in 2013; two sisters, Vesta and Isabelle; five brothers, Stanley, Alvin (Banty), James, Robert and Ray.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Masonic service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:45 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 2 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Basil Lowery officiating. Interment will be later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Honorary pallbearer will be Orlie MacLean.
