NUGENT, MURIEL M. - Muriel M. Nugent, of Serenacare and formerly of Bissett Avenue, Moncton, with family members at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Born in West Saint John, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna (Brown) Costley. Muriel was a retired secretary and receptionist for Dr. Dysart (Moncton) for 34 years. She attended Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, was a member of the CWL and also a member of the Holy Family Seniors Group and a member of the St. Vincent’s Alumna, Saint John. In past years, Muriel enjoyed travelling, was active in Pastoral care at The Moncton Hospital for a number of years and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Muriel will be sadly missed by her husband of over 58 years, Frank Nugent; sisters, Claire Uuetoa (late Endi) of Saint-Hubert, PQ, Patricia O’Connor (late Robert), Truro, NS and Sister Rosemary Costley of Saint John; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Sharing of Memories and Parish Prayers for Muriel on Thursday at 8:30 pm at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church (Falkland Street, Moncton) on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Phil Mulligan officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the Mass. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, West Saint John. In Muriel’s memory, donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
