CRAIG, JOHN CHARLES - John C. Craig of Harvey, NB passed away April 23, 2014 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. John was born at Saint John, NB in 1951, a son of the late Maurice and Violet (Fry) Craig. John did his apprentice and worked at L & A Machine Works and for a short time on the base. He later was employed at Valley Machine Works. John was a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church Board. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and cutting his firewood. He is survived by his wife, J. Lynn (Pye) Craig; four sons, Rory Craig (Crystal), Wesley Craig (Melissa), Dayna Craig (Sheena) and Jonah Craig; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Gracie, Megan, Lily, Chloe, Carter, Nixon and Michael; a sister, Janet Pepin (Maurice); nieces and nephews, Danny (Barb), Angie, Laura (Chris) and William (Sheryl); aunts and uncles, Doris Hall, Henry Hatt, Pauline Craig and Ivy Watson and several cousins.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 3 pm from Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey, NB with Marlene Phillips officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will take place later at the Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
