MYLES, GEORGE TRUEMAN - The passing of George “Bub” Trueman Myles of Fredericton, NB, husband of Margaret (Keays) Myles occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 14, 1937 in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of the late Trueman and Ila (Dobson) Myles. George was a 34 year member of the Canadian Military with his proudest years served with the Airborne Regiment. He worked with the Corp. of Commissionaires at CFB Gagetown and was an avid golfer. He was a dedicated hockey coach and was President of the Edmonton Minor Hockey Association. In addition to his wife, George is survived by his children, Terry Myles (Susan) of Edmonton, AB; daughters, Alison Myles-Paydli (Lionel) of Saskatoon, SK and Glenda Myles of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Alyshea, Conor, Erin and their mother, Evelyn Myles, Jessica, Ryan and their father, Darren, Jenna, Cody, and Natasha; great-grandson, Ty; siblings, Sharon McGrath (Reg) and Lanny Myles (Eileen) both of Miramichi City, NB, Starlene Stewart (Paul) of Ottawa, ON; sister-in-law, Denise Myles of Ottawa, ON; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Caroline Myles and brother, Bernard Myles (2013).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm at the Oromocto Legion, Restigouche Road, All are welcome. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Red Cross Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
