Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2014, Nita Chubbs of Carbonear, age 81 years. Predeceased by husband, Leslie 'Les', parents, Levi and Jean Brookings, sisters, Yvonne Tucker and Virtue Tizzard. Leaving to mourn, special nephews, Peter (Elizabeth) Chubbs and Adam Chubbs, both of Iqaluit and their mother, Marie Chubbs, Carbonear; sister, Phyllis (Clarence) Chubbs, Carbonear and their daughter, Lori (Shawn) Barnes, St. John's; great-niece, Nadia Chubbs and great-nephew, Nathan Barnes; special friends, Eileen, Leeland, Alicia and Eilanda Anderson, Cron and Louise Lynch, Pauline King, Bridget and Bernard Crawford, all of Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
