Passed peacefully away at home, on Sunday, April 27, 2014, John (Jack) Alexis Finn age 94 of Carbonear. Predeceased By: first and second wives: Grace & Paula, infant son: John, parents: William & Ellen Finn, brother: Brendan, sisters: Dympna, Ethel & Mercedes. He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted family: sons: Bill (Judy) Finn, Paul (Judy) Finn, daughters: Maryette Finn & Grace Ann (Peter) Taylor, ten adored and thankful grandchildren: Alison (Glen), Elizabeth (Steve), Christopher, Hillary, Stephanie (Jonathan), Laura, Julie, Rob, Maria (Matthew), and Gregory. Great grandchildren: Julia, Luke, and Emily, as well as brother: Emmett (Bride) Finn, sister-In-Law: Nell Finn, and a large number of nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Darlene Penney and Patrick O'Leary for their love and support over the last fifteen plus years. The funeral mass will take place at St. Patrick's R.C. Church & Cemetery, Carbonear on Thursday, May 1, 2014, 10:30 A.M. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, POWELL DRIVE, CARBONEAR, between the hours of Monday: 7:30 - 9 p.m., Tuesday & Wednesday: 10:30 A.M. - 12 Noon, 2 - 5 P.M. and 7 - 9 P.M. and Thursday: 9 - 10:15 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in his loving memory may be made to St. Patrick's R.C. Church Restoration Fund. Condolences may be written to the family at: sladesfuneralhome.ca.
