KUUS, AXEL - The passing of Axel Kuus of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the age of 91. Born in Estonia, he was a son of the late Peter and Minna Kuus. Axel served in the Estonian Army during World War II. He came to Canada in the early 1950’s through Pier 21 in Halifax, NS and served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years. Axel served in Gagetown, Petawawa, Calgary and Germany. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch #4 Fredericton. Photography was also a great passion of Axel’s. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Charlotte and his two sons Johnny of Fredericton and David of Barrie, Ontario.
No visitation by request of the family. A bible based service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Mr. Johann Grimm officiating.
