Gladys Mary MacKinnon, age 80, of Red Deer, Alberta formerly of New Ross, Nova Scotia passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Daughter of the late Bernard and Clara (Levy) Walker, Gladys is survived by her husband, Bernard (Halifax), daughters, Linda (Mark) Red Deer, Theresa (Corey) Fort St. John, Joanne (Roland) Hantsport, and Loretta (Sheldon) Edmonton and sons, Wayne (Cindy) Falmouth, Rocco and Jeffrey of Red Deer; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Kaye (New Ross), Anna (Toronto) special niece, Connie (Russell) Halifax and special sister-in-law, Pirl Walker, New Ross. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son, Jeffrey Carroll, brothers, Clement, Sherman, Joseph, Melvin, Archibald, and Carroll and sister, Olive. Funeral service will be held at St. Patrick's Church, New Ross at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 with Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mill Road. A time of remembrance and fellowship to follow at the Golden Age Club, New Ross. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's Cemetery Fund or the Ross Farm Museum's Learning Centre Project.
